Unboxing

On one side of the recorder, thre is a headphone jack and a volume button for the headphone. The recorder has two inputs for XY axis, which can be flipped around into an AB axis. We also noticed that the recorder has a hold button, on/off button, and a USB-C port. Although we did not receive a cable, we found that the recorder has a micro SD card slot for storing audio recordings.

First Impressions

One of the most impressive features of the Tascam X6 is its ability to record in 32-bit float. This means that the recorder can record audio at different levels and blend them together to produce high-quality audio. The device is also designed to automatically adjust recording levels to avoid audio clipping. We were excited to test out the recorder and see how it performed in a live setting. As a video producer who attends concerts, the Tascam X6 was the perfect device to monitor audio levels while focusing on camera work. The recorder also has a touch screen with a variety of features, including the ability to switch between manual and audio mode, podcast recording mode, and field recording mode.
