Let’s talk about ChatGPT and its potential for content creation. I was blown away by its capabilities when I first started using it. But I think the biggest issue is that we have limitations in our mind that restrict its full potential.
While testing how to write quality content quickly, I conducted 9 tests starting with a simple request then adding new directions in the prompter with the intent to get better quality responces from ChatGPT that don’t appear AI to AI text checkers. However, I have noticed that some content creators are ranking brand new sites by copying and pasting GPT-generated content, which may be penalized by Google. I also found that formatting, such as using h2 tags and bullet points, can make the content more interesting for the reader.
I used the same title but varied my prompts each time to see the evolution of content created. I found that ChatGPT generates well-written content, but it’s crucial to use prompts that are well thought out or you won’t get the results you were expecting. I’m excited to see how far we can take ChatGPT content creation.

Hey there, everybody, I want to talk about ChatGTP. And specifically, I want to talk about prompts for content creation.
My goodness, this has got me excited. I mean, I was excited when ChatGTP came out. But once I started learning what it can do, mind blown, and I think that’s one of the biggest problems with ChatGTP right now is that we have too many restrictions in our mind on what we can do that we don’t know what the full potential is.
So what I did, I did nine test for content creation, I create content for clients. And one I wanted quality content, I don’t want it to sound like gibberish and spun garbage content. Number two, it needed to be… pass the AI test. That is when you put the content into an AI checker checker, it needs to come in showing as human. And well, there’s more things.
So let’s get into the test which I have up right here. What I did is I use the same title. However, what I asked for I changed each time. I kind of I wanted to evolve to see what would happen. And because as I’ve been testing, ChatGTP and kind of expanding things, I’ve actually broken it because I’m not asking the questions correctly.
So this document that I’m going through right now, there’ll be a link down below, you can go view it, you don’t have to sign up for anything, just go check it out as a reference tool. So when I have my prompt, this is what I actually put into ChatGTP. Afterwards, I wanted to pull a word count, making sure that I’m getting long format or you know, how long is the content? And then I ran it through believe it’s Writer is the website that I took about two paragraphs, because you can only I can’t put the whole thing in. But about two paragraphs, I went ahead and put that in and got a percentage of humans. So at this point, if we were the grab this amount of the content, plug it in, it says it’s about 45% human, not so great.
But let’s go back to the prompt. So a simple prompt where I was starting, I would imagine a lot of people are is just write a blog post using this title or write a blog post about whatever it is. So you’ll notice as we go through, though, that the title is the same all the way through. This is what I wrote, I did not reformat anything changed anything, I copied it from chat GTP dropped it in here. So you can see exactly what it does. And I think it reads well, unfortunately, the AI detector goes “errr”, so we need to fix that. Also, I’m not a big fan of the word count. I like at least 450 – 400, 450 or longer for word count. But hey, if I can get it for free, let’s get as much content. And we’ll get into that in a little bit.
So the other thing I wanted to do is formatting. Formatting I think is really is good from two point of views. One, it makes it more interesting for the reader. If you just started reading this, it looks plain, it looks vanilla, it looks boring, it doesn’t offer any variety. I mean, it’s nice that we’ve got some h2 tags here. However, it just looks kind of boring. So when we break content up, and we have those h2 or h3 tags, we have some content, we break it up, we add some bullet points. So that was the next thing I did is I asked it to write a blog post using h2 tags and bullet point. And again, using the same title. The content itself was about the same as far as the word count. The AI detector, I think I went here, through the first list came in at 15%. So not very good.
I will say I’ve been watching some videos from other SEO content creators who are using ChatGTP. And they are ranking brand new sites, supposedly, I gotta take their word for it, brand new sites strictly by copy pasting content directly out of GTP. And when I say brand new sites, one of them is doing very well and it’s only two months old. He’s, he’s putting a lot of content out there. And it is in a competitive market space. So I find it interesting. However, I do feel that Google probably will penalize people if it’s not already doing that, if it’s blatantly AI generated content. So we’ve got to fix that which I’m going to do later. One of the things I love about ChatGTP is that the content really does read well.
Now, the other problem you can have with ChatGTP is if you screw up your prompts, you’re not going to get the content that you want. Somehow when I was copying and pasting and then editing my prompts. I really screwed this up. Use this title to create a long format. Well, the use this title is supposed to be all the way down here. So I made a little note. Be careful of prompts if you don’t get the results that you want. That’s one of the reasons why I’m doing these tests. Kind of changing one thing at a time. What is the evolution? How far can we take it? But this does go the show that you can create outlines. ChatGTP will create outlines for you.
All right, let’s go to the next one create a long form. So now I’m asking it, I’m not putting stipulations on how many words but instead of just a blog, I want long form. Still using the H1, still using bullet points, still using the same. Now we went from 320 – 330 to 527. Yay, we’re making progress. And what’s really interesting is that this one came in at 100% human. Why that is, I’m not sure? But just kind of goes to show.
The other thing I want to say with chat GTP. It’s kind of interesting. If we go up to this test here, you’ll notice the bold, this is not actually these are not actually h2 tags. However, it’s bolded, which I like. And I found that in doing this test, sometimes it was bolded, sometimes it would give me the title. Let me see, did it give me, yeah. So gave me a title here, and down here it didn’t. Where are we at? Down here it did not give me a title and it didn’t bold anything. I still got the bullet points and whatnot. So the format was a little bit different each time, which I thought was interesting.
Now I want it to play around with, well, what about the content that I’m writing? What is my intent? In this case, I want it to be educational, and informative. So now I’m saying long content that is educational and informative. And then we’re still using h2 and the blah, blah, blah, all the things are the same. Word count went up a little bit. Human value dropped quite a bit. And the article itself, I’m going to leave it up to you, go ahead and read through these, if you would, I’m curious what your thoughts are, if this really made a difference, or is chat GTP already just providing quality informative information? Did I need to tell it what I was doing? But it would be interesting, depending on your industry, does it need to be professional? Does it need to be playful? So kind of playing with the voice that you want the articles to be could be a lot of fun.
And dunt dunt dunt! Now we’re getting down to how long can we actually get this? So instead of just putting in long format, I want the longest blog posts that is still educational, informative. I’m even prompting it that, hey, if you could write 1000 words, that would be great. I want to be careful. And maybe this would be another test of saying write at least 1000 words because then you might start getting fluff if there’s not enough information on the on the subject matter. So I’m asking it to use its own intentions. I don’t know what the right word is. I know there’s a better word than intentions to kind of figure out like, how long can I stretch this out and still be quality? The other… nope, I haven’t done that yet.
So we’ve the word count actually dropped a little bit if I’m not mistaken, 538 compared to 549. So that really didn’t make much of a difference in this case. The other thing I did find interesting as I’m rolling through this is that a lot of the content is unique. I mean, it’s the same concept and those types of things. But each time I’m rolling through this test, and by the way, I always cleared out. So it’s not, it doesn’t have reference to the prior articles. It’s, it’s still coming up with kind of unique content. So you could almost write this one article, run it through 10, 5 times, whatever it is, and then kind of put those in a marketing calendar where you put one out today, one out a month from now, and whatnot. So kind of interesting, change the title a little bit.
Here’s the big key. Here’s the big key. So with these all these other articles, the human content detector typically was pretty low. There, there was that one anomaly at 100%. But essentially, everything’s coming through. And so I was thinking to myself, Well, why not just tell it to, to write in the style of a human and not AI? Would that change the writing style, if you will, the voice of the content? And sure enough one, it stretched it out a little bit. We got some more words back. But look at this. The first test I ran was that 100% human.
The other thing that I started doing was I wanted it to be in the style of human AI. So I wanted to write some additional articles make sure that first one that came in at 100% human wasn’t an anomaly. And then number two, you got to post a meta description so why not ask it to write to a meta description? And playing around with this the other day, not for this test but for other work I was doing, I found that the meta descriptions tended to be pretty long. Sometimes almost a full paragraph. So I put a request in that it’s no more than 55 characters, which is good for Google. I think Google goes 155 – 160, somewhere in there. I always like to go on the short side. And so it goes ahead and does that we’ve got an 82% passing. Which by the way, I have found I was doing spending way too much time on chat GTP yesterday, because it was actually up for me, making small changes, as you read through the article that just make it sound more natural, if you will, bumps these human detection scores way up You don’t have to rewrite the whole thing, just rolling through maybe, maybe 10% on the on the long side. If you make those little changes, it really bumps up the human factor, if you will, on these articles. Anyhow.
So now what I’ve got its stops article, this is something it was letting me know I guess, hey, this is the end of the article. And here’s the meta description. So already created that content for me. Now, I wanted to change the request. And that is, well what if you were actually a content expert? Kind of changing the context of chat GTP, almost think of it as you’re talking to a personal assistant, if you will, or in this case, an actual copywriter. And I’m going hey copywriter, you, you are an expert. I want to give them the confidence that you are the expert in ranking content on the first page of Google. So I put that in there. Kind of left everything else alone. And the word count got bumped up (to) 628. Human, we’re still rocking and rolling there at 91%. And again, I’m gonna leave it up to y’all. As far as how much different you think the content is between each iteration.
So that’s my test. This article is available. I’ve got it on Google Docs, go ahead and click the link below. We’d love to hear your thoughts and ideas, and maybe some prompts that you’ve been using. I’ve been testing out some other people’s prompts and a lot of them just seeing gibberish and just I don’t know what they’re thinking. So that’s why I want to write my own prompts that fulfill the needs for my clients and myself right now. So love to know what you think if you got any thoughts, questions, feelings, make sure you leave them down below. Take care everybody, bye!
